Network Marketing Success Pillar #1: Management Experience And Integrity

I wish I had known how to analyze and choose a network marketing company back when I first started my network marketing success adventure.

Most people make decisions based on emotion instead of with logic. And that’s exactly what I did when I joined my first network marketing company. I watched a 4-minute presentation video, called the upline guru to validate and “bang” I was in.

Man, that was the only exciting time as far as that company was concerned.

I went on to sponsor a few people, and then struggled for a year and a half not knowing why until my entire downline quit on me.

Later on, I learned why it didn’t work and today I’d like to share with you what I learned.

There is a blueprint for network marketing success that you can follow.

This blueprint consists of 5 Pillars that absolutely and positively need to be in place if you want to have the odds of network marketing success on your side:

  1. Company management experience with integrity
  2. Timing in the company and timing in the industry
  3. Remarkable products
  4. Compensation plan that pays the average person
  5. Proven system for success

Today, I will talk about pillar one.

Network Marketing Success Pillar #1: Experience and Integrity

This is the most important pillar because without it nothing else matters. You don’t even have to look for the other pillars. Game over. Run!

The founders/owners/managers of the company, or however you wan to call them, should have past experience as distributors in a network marketing company.

They should have built successful MLM organizations prior to being managers of the company. If the owners have past experience as distributors, they KNOW what it takes to succeed in network marketing.

They will be more “distributor minded” and the compensation plan will be good and it will be easier to build your business with them. You will also have better training and support.

If previous suit-and-tie corporate people built your company, it will be designed to make the most money for them and for the top people only. You will be left with the crumbs at the bottom wondering why this thing is not working.

That takes care of experience.

What about integrity?

How do you verify that the owners have integrity?

Here’s what you should do:

Read the company’s Policies and procedures.

Look for bad clauses like:

Non-Renewal
A distributor may voluntarily cancel his/her distributorship agreement by failing to renew agreement on its anniversary date. The company may also elect not to renew a distributor’s agreement upon its anniversary date.

The above means they can terminate you for any reason.

Ongoing sales responsibilities
Regardless of their level of achievement, distributors have an ongoing obligation to continue to personally promote sales through the generation of new customers and through servicing their existing customers.

The above means you can never retire. If you do, they can terminate you.

Check the company’s website and read the owners’ profile.

Perform a google search using their names and read what comes up.

Visit Rod Cook’s website and search for the owners’ names.

If their names or company name comes up at the site above, it’s usually not a good sign.

There you have it. The first pillar for network marketing success.

Stay tuned for Network Marketing Success Pillar #2

Cheers!
